Pep Talk

I think I need to give myself a pep talk about why it’s a good idea to rip back my nearly finished CPH left front to the bit 10 inches back where I crossed a cable two rows too early.

Not happy.

Of course I know I’ll do it… it would annoy me forever if I didn’t.  But for now I will ignore it and knit a sock instead.

I so feel your pain. Most sweaters I knit need to be either tinked or frogged st some point. A sock sounds like a good idea. Let me add the question what color?

You know, you could contemplate the other option, and drop back the cable to fix the mistake. Painful, tedious, but it can be done. Check here: http://www.exartstudent.net/?p=36

Yarn Harlot wrote a tutorial on how do do it too, here: http://www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/archives/2006/06/20/all_is_not_lost.html

There’s even an option for cutting it! But no dropping back involved…. Hmm, for 10 inches, I’d contemplate it.

The cutting wouldn’t work because it’s crossed early not miscrossed but I could try the Yarn Harlot’s 3 DPN dropped back method 🙂 Nearly feeling up to it… Glad I didn’t rip it back in a fit of anger, thanks sis 🙂

I feel your frustration I frogged a shawl after 17 rows then got it to 34 and had to rip back 4 rows again I know what mistake I’m making forgeting my kfb on end of rows.I would frog it back because you want it to be the way you’d like to see it.Hugs Darcy
